The tenth meeting between the X2Rail project consortium and the AB4Rail project partners was held on 30-th May 2022. Alessandro Vizzarri (Radiolabs) presented the advances in WP2 of AB4Rail project related to Low Orbit Satellite (LEO) and High Altitude Platform System (HAPS), while Anna Maria Vegni (University of Rome TRE) presented the simulator for Free Space Optics evaluation. Prof. Romeo Giuliano (Università degli Studi Guglielmo Marconi, USGM) presented the advances in WP3 related to the last deliverable D3.5, including two tasks 3.5 on application protocol evaluation such as HTTP, FTP in combination of transport protocols (e.g., TCP, SCTP) and task 3.6 on security protocols.
Moreover, he presented the dissemination activities performed during the last period. In particular, he described the Webinar event entitled “Advances in Communication Technologies for Transports” held on 24th May 22 with more than 50 participants. It was an interesting discussion on services provided by Adaptable Communication System (ACS) and the AB4Rail results supporting the ACS and FRMCS’ diffusion. Next meeting will be planned on 4 July 2022
